We are excited to announce that for the first time, our Annual Film Festival will be hosted as an online event. We are hoping to expand our reach and have our friends from throughout the country and around the world join us as we premiere some of the best films from our 2021 Film Competition.
2021 Highlights
2021 was a challenging year for everyone, including Mother Nature. The increased use of disposable products as a result of the pandemic most certainly had an impact on our environment. Many of our student films highlighted the problem of plastic pollution, as well as a wide variety of other topics. Here are some additional highlights from our 2021 Film Competition.
- This year we are partnering with the UN Decades initiative to offer a special prize for the film that provides the most powerful vision for the future of our oceans
- We had our first films submitted from 4 new countries this year.
- We have seen an increase of teachers who have incorporated our program into their classroom.
